Babe Lash vs GrandeLASH MD – Which is Better?

Lashes looking a little short and dull? When your natural lashes aren’t up to your expectations, you turn to a lash serum. Lash serums are specially formulated with ingredients that help your lashes to grow. But there are lots of lash serums on the market – and not all of them are created equally. So which one do you turn to?

Babe Lash Vs. GrandeLASH MD – The Basics

Babe Lash Vs. GrandeLASH MD

We’ll compare two of the most popular serums – the Babe Lash Serum and the GrandeLash serum. But before that, we want you to understand the basics.

What is a Lash Serum?

Before we dive into a comparison between the Babe and GrandeLash serums, let’s take a closer look at serums themselves. What are they and how do they work?

As we mentioned before, lash serums are specially formulated serums that help your lashes to grow longer and more robust. When applied regularly, lash serums can help to promote growth by activating prostaglandin receptors in the hair follicles.

When these are activated, any lashes that were in the resting phase of the lash cycle are now triggered to the growth stage. In return, lashes can grow in thicker, stronger, and longer.

Are All Lash Serums Made Equally?

Absolutely not. Like almost any other product on the market, some lash serums work very well, while others are duds. Whether or not they work really depends on what ingredients are in them.

Here are some of the most common ingredients in Lash Serums and what they do for your lashes:

  • Amino Acids for healthier hair follicles
  • Panthenol to protect your lashes from breakage
  • Ceramides for locking in moisture
  • Peptides for strengthening and nourishing your lashes
  • Biotin to help improve the overall health of your lashes

But here’s the thing: while all these ingredients can help improve your lashes’ health, they’re more of a conditioning treatment than a growth treatment. If you really want to see your lashes grow, you should look for an ingredient called prostaglandins.

And yes, this ingredient is found in both the Babe Lash and the GrandeLash Serum. Prostaglandins  not only help to nourish your lashes, but also help to activate the growth of your lashes.

Babe Lash Vs. GrandeLash – Ingredients

Both Babe Lash and GrandeLash come with a long list of ingredients. But for our purposes, let’s just keep the list short with the most active ones:

Babe Lash Active Ingredients include:

  • Prostaglandins
  • Panthenol
  • Biotin
  • Phenoxyethanol

GrandeLash Active Ingredients include:

  • Amino Acids
  • Hyaluronic Acid
  • Vitamin E
  • Prostaglandins
  • Glycosaminoglycans

All of the ingredients here can provide different benefits to your lashes. But the critical difference, we would say, is that Babe Lash contains parabens while GrandeLash does not.

Why does it matter? Phenoxyethanol is a type of paraben and an active ingredient in the Babe Lash Serum. Parabens are beneficial for serums like this because they are preservatives that can help to kill bacteria, making your serum last longer. But parabens can also have harmful side effects.

Many studies suggest that parabens not only act as a hormone disruptor but can also harm reproductive organs and increase cancer risk. So it’s not surprising that not everyone likes to use them on their skin.

For those who like to avoid parabens in their skin care products, GrandeLash is the better option. GrandeLash is made from organic and paraben-free ingredients and is also free of other harmful chemicals.

Babe Lash Vs. GrandeLash – Side Effects

So let’s talk a little about the side effects of each product. The good news I that the risk is low, regardless of whether you use Babe Lash or GrandeLasw. Side effects for either serum are low. With that being said, both serums do come with risks, as all beauty products do.

The main side effects for both products are pretty much the same. Irritations, stinging, redness, and dryness can all be side effects of these two lash serums, and this effect seems to be enhanced in those with already sensitive skin.

Both products can also cause darkening of the eyes. The ingredient Prostaglandin causes this. If this effect occurs, the results are permanent. For this reason, the FDA has deemed Prostaglandin as unsafe for use without a qualified practitioner. If you choose to use these lash serums on your own, you must take all proper precautions.

Babe Lash Vs. GrandeLash – Effectiveness

Let’s start with what the serum companies say themselves. Obviously, both companies claim that their products work, and the only real difference is in how long they claim it takes to see results. Babe Lash claims that you can start to see longer, thicker lashes in just 4 weeks.

GrandeLash claims that you can start to see results within 4-6 weeks. And both companies suggest that you continue use for 12 weeks to see full results. We’ve tried the Babe Lash and GrandeLash serums, and they seem to work pretty well.

With that being said, we’ve also done our diligence and made sure to check out the reviews. They’re very scattered.

Some people have seen excellent results, while others have noticed no difference at all. We guess it really comes down to each user on an individual level. What works for some may not work for others, and this seems to ring true for lash serums.

Babe Lash Vs. GrandeLash – Cost

We went directly to the Babe Original Website to check out how much their product cost. We found that their “Babe Lash Essential Serum” ran for $65.00. Unfortunately, the website doesn’t tell us how big the tube is.

We will assume that this is a complete 12-week treatment. The GrandeLash Lash Enhancing Serum sells on the website in a 3mL tub, and it runs a little more expensive at $90.00. Of course, you can find BabeLash and GrandeLash serums at different retailers for different prices, and GrandeLash is probably the more readily available option.

You can find it at a variety of retailers including Walmart, Macys, and Sephora. You can also buy it on Amazon. We found BabeLash at Target, Walmart.com, and of course, on Amazon as well.

Which Is The Better Option?

We wouldn’t say that one option is better than the other; which comes down to personal preference. Both BabeLash and GrandeLash have mixed reviews, and some people claim to see excellent results, while others claim no results. They both claim to take 12 weeks to see full results, and while the prices are different, they aren’t so far apart that cost should affect your decision.

What should affect your decision is what ingredients you want in your products. If you don’t mind some preservatives and parabens in your products, BabeLash can save you a few dollars. But if you prefer your facial serums and treatments to be paraben-free and more organic, GrandeLash is the better option.

According to beauty expert and owner of Skin Studio By Megan “The key to getting the maximum results of a lash lift is using a lash growth serum. Strong and long lashes give beautiful results. GrandeLASH and Pepti-Lash are my two top favorite growth serums. Grandelash MD is a cheaper option and my clients can’t get enough. Viktoria Deann Pepti-lash is a little more pricey but provides amazing results. I also love Latisse and Babe Lash.”

As an endnote, remember that both the Babe Lash and GrandeLash Serums come with risks. The main risk is that they can result in permanent discoloration of the eyes. Serums like these are best used with a registered lash therapist. If you are unsure whether or not these products are safe for use on your lashes or around your eyes, be sure to contact a professional before use.
